Back from Boston

Well, returned from my interview. Mostly "fit" questions. So, I probably flunked because of my lousy personality;).

I notice that Beyonce Knowles is now considered "hefty," and I'm supposed to stand up for my mixed sistahs. Clearly, I wish that all American women were as overweight as Ms. Knowles.

One observation. I've noticed in repeated flights across the country, that the major airports in the Midwest and Northeast are employing large numbers of Ethiopian/Eritrean immigrants in the shops. Clearly the racist American society isn't willing to give blacks a chance.....erm....oh well.

The problem with Beyonce isn't the weight but her proportions. Her hips are way to wide and disproportionately thick- along with her thighs. She looked really quite unattractive in the Bonny and Clyde video with Jigga (Jay Z for those who aren't cool enough to know...). Her face is her main strength.

When Americans say that someone has a "nice personality" they usually mean that person is shallowly outgoing. I wouldn't worry about it.

Nah, i didn't flash 'em my black ass. They were pretty diverse compared to the last couple firms I talked to--the people I interviewed with were: 2 white men, 1 white woman, 3 East Asian women. Heh.

The main questions were about why I wanted to leave the bench, did I like Boston, how I felt about being in a smallish firm, etc.

Hopefully I'll know in the affirmative later this week. I did like the people there, and it seems like a very interesting place to work.
