Flu & world population

OK, will be working tomorrow, so you should check out these excellent Future Pundit posts, first on why demographic predictions are wrong (I hope he's right on this one!) and second a little perspective on the "flu" that's going around.

Buy a couple of plastic dispensers of an antiseptic alchohol gel like Purell. Keep one in your car and use if before you eat fast food.

Doesn't necessarily work for viruses (depends on the coat).

Oh, and he's wrong about demographics. Population WILL decline.

Even IF women will be able to have children in their 50's in the near future (highly doubtful in my opinion), who's to say women will want more children?

Children are such a financial liability and time suck, I don't see this aiding fertility. Sorry.

Women who really want kids will have them by their 30's. Women who don't, won't.

Sub-saharan africa always seems to be the area where there is no predicted drop in fertility.
I wonder if the educated women in urban africa are having fewer children.
I supposed that their fertility rate is much higher than the that of western women but how does it compare to that of their rural sisters ?
