Texas textbooks & evolution....
Textbooks at center of evolution debate. Of course, this is national news because it's Texas, which serves as a limiting reagent nationally because it buys in such bulk.

I'm going to nitpick your post a bit and say that I loathe the term "evolution debate." As one who was a solid believer in times past and still has great sympathies for the Christian religion, I can still say that the term is a bad one because the term "debate" creates by its very nation the impression that the issue is in doubt. There are debates in a great many areas of human knowledge, but not here. There is no debate, only certain people who refuse to believe all available evidence because a book says so.
