New change of clothes

Generic article about sex & evolution over @ Newsweek. The only thing of interest, they call some dude a "biopsychologist," another term for evolutionary psychologist & sociobiologist. Guess he needed to out-run Torquemada's on the look-out for evolutionary psychologists, next, it'll be psycho-biologists!

No, Razib, the interesting bit was about how "men are humstrung by their biology". Yep, it's those unsubtle, sexual dunces with the testosterone and the seven-second recall again. Women, on the other hand, employ nuance. Of course, they've employed topless sunbathing too on every beach in Europe for the last quarter century (and amen to that).

and the seven-second recall again.

What do you mean by that?

Sex pops back into the mail thought process within that timescale. Females are 12 seconds.

You mean there are people who ever STOP thinking about sex?

I must be bringing that 12-second average down.
