Robert Plomin announced some new findings on dyslexia this week. Contrary to the prevailing view that dyslexia is a highly specific learning disorder, Plomin claims, on the basis of large twin studies, that it is usually part of a more general syndrome, which also affects mathematical and general cognitive abilities.
