I just bought my friend Sanjeev Sanyal’s book, The Ocean of Churn: How the Indian Ocean Shaped Human History. Sanjeev is a polymath with varied interests, some of which intersect with my own. A few years back I had the pleasure of having dinner with him and Reihan Salam, and the server kept unapologetically offering drinks one of us had ordered to the wrong person. I don’t think we look that much alike!
