The Next Joe Millionaire has a bunch of European women. The website is pretty sparse, but the clips I saw tonight for next Monday’s preview suggests that the new girls are HOT.

    Speaking of that-the Italian net portal Clarence (sic) publishes a yearly calendar culled from (female) reader personal photos. Well this year they also let the contestants
    maintain blogs. It’s all in Italian-but the pictures transcend language.

    What’s next? Joe Millionaire in Japan? Joe Millionaire in Ghana? This could be a fascinating display of money-hungry whorishness as a cross-cultural, universal phenomenon. If they did Joe Millionaire in Swaziland, the dude would just marry ALL the contestants and see who sticks around when they realize he’s just a day-laborer.

    Does anyone else think that Murdoch maybe having a bit too much fun here, a millionare cowboy Texan whom Europeans fall all over, who turns out to be a pauper. Next we’ll read a column by Dowd on how this was all a PR campaign by the Bush admin.
