In the spirit of Gapminder, I’ve noticed three data visualization sites which present user-generated content: * Many Eyes (does maps!!!) * Swivel * Data360
Thanks so much for posting a link to our site, Data360. Of the three you listed, we’re certainly not the flashiest, but we think we have the greatest capability to monitor and report on trends, collaboratively, on a repeated basis. Please email us if you have questions or comments. Sincerely, Tom Paper tom@data360.org
Does this sociology slide at ManyEyes actually count as “data”?
I’ll have to search those sites later to see if any have data on net migration between countries. The “foot vote” seems to me a much better indicator than GDP or happiness surveys, but it’s harder to find info on.
So, perhaps the GNXP community needs to create some content. Is there a visual representation of IQ by geography including GNP, etc. on any of those sites? I didn’t see it.
I need to view web pages in large type, and when I open that first link it looks an absolute illegible mess. Probably a profound lesson in that.
