Jacob’s Legacy: A Genetic View of Jewish History
At other weblog a review of Jacob’s Legacy: A Genetic View of Jewish History. Nothing new for readers of this weblog, but a respectable introduction to various topics which might surprise and interest many people.

You know, great comments like these inspire me to want to go read the original post, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to jump to there from here, or even determine what the original post was. Can this be fixed?

Thanks for the link, but I was referring to a technical issue with the site. If I open a comment thread from the “Recent Comments” section at the right on the main page then the “Go to Post” link at the top does not do what I would think it is supposed to do. Instead of taking me to the post which is being commented on, it opens an about:blank window (on IE7) or another comment thread window (on SeaMonkey, which is Mozilla based).
I had thought the “Go to Post” link was totally broken, but I just now noticed that it works fine when I open up a Comments window using the Comments link below an article. That’s why I wasn’t more specific previously — I thought this was broken everywhere, but it’s not.
Anyway, as I said, it’s a technical issue, but it’s bugged me on more than one occasion so I thought I’d bring it up.
