I speculate Hui must have some trace of Turkish blood.&lt;/i&gt;&#160;&lt;br&gt;&#160;&lt;br&gt;this is like speculating that black americans have  european ancestry ;-)  i really doubt there&#039;s a genetic reason that groups resist islam. mongols had no problem with converting to islam when they live in areas surrounded by muslims (e.g., golden horde, hazaras, etc.). similarly, large numbers of hui in south china seem to have become han by losing islam.]]></description>

Yet they remain Buddism mostly. Northern Hans live side by side with Hui most time. Yet, most remain Buddism too.
