Authenticity and the Fermi paradox
The thing that irritates me about talk of the Fermi "Paradox" and intelligent life in the universe is overlooking the constraint of special relativity. Fermi asked "where are they?" and this can only apply to intelligent aliens within our LIGHT CONE.
I doubt we're the first in the universe, but we're certainly the first in our neighborhood.
Another genetic map of Europe
Perhaps you identified them in a previous post, but what are Component 1 & Component 2, the axes of this chart? If Component 1 is latitude and Component 2 is longitude, there is nothing remarkable about this chart. Since this is "Gene Expression", I suppose these components are some quantities related to genes, but that information is not provided on the chart or in the post.
