On the socially ill-fitting part one is apparently included out of an intended popular or mainstream audience. Granted pop music and movies are aimed at the juvenile audiences that do them but what about the ten most popular anything, like TV shows or bestsellers or magazines, what in the world does anybody find in them.

It doesn't fit the narrative so it doesn't exist.
