Even before the advent of the Internet many public libraries were hangouts for questionable characters. This was and is especially true for libraries located within walking distance of homeless shelters, and even more so if the shelters are the sort that require "residents" to clear out during the day. Another issue facing libraries in all sorts of communities is the tendency of some parents to use them as discount babysitters. I've heard of some which have to post signs warning parents of prosecution if they leave children unattended.

I would say that the older boy looks more white than mixed-race. Only when compared to his brother does he look at all dark. The girl is clearly mixed, however.  
 
Had I seen the picture without any captioning, I probably would have taken the father for South Asian rather than mixed black/white.

Don't forget the Malagasy, next door, have a native Indonesian element.

There's historical precedent of sorts for the catfish "war." Back in the 1980's there was quite a bit of hostility between long-established shrimp fishermen in the Gulf of Mexico and Vietnamese immigrants who tried to break into the industry. If I'm not mistaken there was some actual violence, and plenty of vandalism. Eventually, farm-raised shrimp imports from Asia greatly weakened the entire Gulf shrimping industry and the hostility largely faded away.

Morocco and especially Algeria are a bit surprising. I'd always thought that the Maghreb countries had more Western influence than most ME proper or Gulf countries, the sort of influence that would make multiple wives unpopular.

Home invasions are the latest sort of crime to stir up widespread fear. To some extent this fear is entirely reasonable - the mere idea of being subject to violent attack in one's own house, in what should be the safest of all places, is particularly chilling. It's also not uncommon for home invasions to end in deadly violence.  
 
And yet, while home invasions get plenty of media hype, what gets far less attention is the fact that a significant percentage of the victims, perhaps most of them, are involved in the drug trade.

Some women in hunter-gathering societies do have abnormally large buttocks, a condition called steatopygia.

I get the impression that for the most part it is blacks who insist that all mixed-race people are black regardless of appearance. For instance, black members of Congress admitted the almost entirely white-looking G.K. Butterfield to the Congressional Black Caucus. White people are becoming more willing to accept reasonably light mixed-race people as a separate category, not white but not black either.
