Given the fact that US Immigration is focused on maximizing the number of unskilled immigrants, the fact that H1-B visas were issued at all is commendable. But these Visa's are also heavily abused, with the motivation being largely to keep wages in check. There was a justification for H1-B's during the boom, but there is none at this time. Even many of the support groups for H1-B visa holders have admitted this. Go to any H1-B support site and you will see numerous postings of H1-B holders who have been fired or laid off, only to be replaced by another H1-B holder (more recently arriving). I think the issue with H1-B's is this: Were H1-B's meant to be immigrants or just guest labourers? Clearly the fact is ignored by all parties concerned. I think the Canadian immigration policy is much better and less prone to abuse by industry. Although Canadian Industry is now also demanding an H1-B style visa so that Canadian Companies can be more "competitive".

Not, being a molecular Biologist, I can't claim to know the science well enough, but over at www.fromthewilderness.com Their was a recent article stating that a) Race based Bioweapons are being researched agressively around the globe. b)Isreal for example has a HBD based weapons program that is focused on isolating differences between the various Arab populations and their Jewish bretheren. They quoted an Isreali scientist on this question.

In a nutshell, the article quotes active bio-weapons researchers and geneticists from the US, Isreal, and UK on what is being done, and what will soon be possible.

So, I'm afraid, their is now considerable evidence, that a) HBD based weapons are not only possible, but are being agressively persued.

I think we are going to soon have the power to reshape the social system by moving from a bell curve to a 1/2 bell curve (ie: everyone has an IQ above 100).

This will create its own problems, because our current system does indirectly allocate wealth and power based on IQ. Granted it is not a perfect correllation, but it is a significant one.

Intelligence matters in determining how much you get in this technological age.

Who will want to be the underclass then?

There is less differentiation between different regional groups of the Chinese, because China is 99% HAN. Unlike India, which has at least 100 different groups. The only study of cast, I am aware of was by the British Anthropologist Cooke in 1912. He classified Indians into a myraid of racial and ethnic types. The other Anthropologist who is well known in looking at India is Carleton Coon.

So India is clearly more diverse than Mainland China. And this may be why some Indian Diaspora are more sucessfull than others.

In Canada, Punjabi's (like myself), Gujuraties and Sikhs are the most numerous Indian Groups.

Ofcourse you also have the Sikhs of BC who came at the turn of the century.

Voluntary eugenics , what I like to call soft Eugenics, will merely exagerate the sexual selection that already goes on.

Using economic models as a guide, one can easily predict what easy and cheap genetic screening will do to a heterogenous gene pool (ie: clustering around the ideals espoused by each of the major groups in society).

Think of it this way, with globalization of trade, have we seen an increase or decrease of cultural diversity?
