Birth Months of World Cup Players
As Ryan says there are different cut off points in different countries, in the UK for instance it would be September. There was a study of English players done a few years ago that showed they were far more likely to be born in September than in July, although I can't it find right now. Although this makes reference to the same trend:
"Among the 25 most capped England football players, 11 were born between September and November, while only one, Frank Lampard, was born between June and August."

Which bears out Levitt's idea imho.
SI on the White Athlete
"Have any white done as well as Little in international sprinting in the last 13 years? "
That Greek sprinter won the 200m at the Sydney Olympics. He was almost certainly a drug cheat though.
Center-Right world?
My first thought was the alignment might reflect party political fortunes, but looking at the results from different study years suggests that it is only a minor factor.
Incidentally I noticed that in most countries men and women have almost identical averages, which surprised me somewhat.

Less than nations
The Hausa are possibly similar- the majority group in Niger yet more numerous in total in Nigeria. There are probably more examples in Africa.
Measuring whether an artist is under- or over-valued
Interesting idea, but there are problems with the accuracy of calculating P/E and its interpretation. First, while "earnings" is a scalar quantity that can increase infinitely, coverage in encyclopedias is not. No matter how large a composer's "true" value, there is an upper limit to coverage in an encylopedia (as opposed to a biography), at which point there is simply no more information that is important enough to print. (Mozart's favorite flavor of Jamba Juice?)
There are idiosyncratic factors that can limit the amount of material available to researchers, thus limiting encyclopedia coverage under-represent a composer's "worth". Did the composer live a very private life? Did s/he not engage much in correspondance that was saved? Died young? Died in poverty & personal effects were sold or thrown out?
There are factors that can limit the ease of recording a particular work, which would artificially limit its number of recordings or "price" in your model. Some factors that come to the top of my head: extreme technical difficulty (Rachmaninoff), scored for instruments that are largely out of current use (medieval period, perhaps renaissance?).
Even if a perfect calculation of P/E for a composer were calculated, what would it mean? Music posseses intrinsic subjective value, which is unlike stock in a widget-producing firm - which can be bought and sold in a massive marketplace, and worth exactly what other people are willing to pay for it. We listen to music for reasons other than the composer's historical importance. Likewise, we gossip about female celebrities for reasons other than their physical attractiveness.

Will the recession bring anti-globalization protests back?
When I was in college (around the same time as you) I barely had enough extra money to put meat in my ramen noodles, let alone think about investing in real estate. I'll propose an alternative reason why there were fewer anti-globalization protests from 2003-2006:
the focus had shifted to protesting the Iraq war.

Most of the earliest mayors of Chicago appear to have originated from either New York State or New England. Herbert Asbury's Gangs of Chicago (not the orignal title), says of the early settlers:
"The vanguard began to arrive in the spring of 1834, and by midsummer, at which time some two hundred and fifty west bound wagons were leaving Buffalo every day, Chicago was literally overflowing with land hungry settlers."

Blonde Berbers
I was using 'google scholar' to look up something about blonde Berbers yesterday, there do seem to be mitochondrial DNA links between Europe and the Berbers. That makes a lot more sense that the more recent proposed origins for North African blondes, such as Vandals (who were never very numerous) or slaves, because those groups would have been concentrated near the coast rather than in the mountains and the interior like the Berbers.
Blowing off steam…
Triticale, Britain has never had a prime minister who was half thai. Lord Liverpool who was PM from 1812 to 1827, was a quarter or an eighth Indian.
Migration Watch UK have an interesting press release on their site at the moment highlighting the fact that they warned the government in 2005 about the laxness of visa checks from countries where terrorism is a problem. 98% of visas from Pakistan for example are issued without even an interview!
The NYT claim of disenfranchisement is an example of either illiteracy or dishonesty.
Of course all this talk about South Asians appears to be of little direct relevance to this case as most of the arrested doctors appear to be Middle Eastern.
'they certainly have the vote (which in Britain depends on residence, not citizenship)'
That isn't entirely correct, non citizens can generally vote in local or European elections, unless they are from Ireland or the Commonwealth in which case they can vote in Westminster elections too.

Untied Kingdom?
{ NI's mindset just isn't like that of their Southern cousins, they are Socialists, while the Irish are more Libertarian. }
I suspect that their attidue is based more on a spoils system than an actual belief in socialism. The two communities are constantly demanding that more money be spent on them otherwise they'll complain about sectarianism.
{ What's all this talk of Scotland as an economic burden? I thought it was no less prosperous than England. }
It is considerably poorer, unlike Wales or Northern Ireland this has not always been the case but half a century of socialism isn't good for a society. From an economic perspective the real divide in the UK is between South East England and Everywhere Else-

January – National Have Sex With Your Teacher Month
When I was 17, there was a trainee teacher at my school for a fortnight, (un)fortunately it coincided with the publication of photos of her appearing in the popular pornographic publication 'Escort'. She was on the front cover as well.
Guessing Game – no, not her!
IIRC I was the first person to suggest Angelina Jolie on the original thread, oh well I was wrong. The most likely answer is that there are no AIS oscar winning actresses, false rumours about the gender of hollywood actresses have gone on for decades Mae West being an early example.
