Hey Hey, Ho HO, the IMF has got to GO! 
I have some footage that C-span took of a 'non-violence' training for the 2000 IMF protest in DC. There is one impossibly cute girl from the Pacific Northwest, and a couple of cute dreadlocked girls. It's fascinating to watch as Peace Activist "Starhawk" leads a session on "active listening." The poor sappy beta male is telling his life story about how Knoxville Tenn is real conservative, trying to appease the dreadlocked chick, who's eyes really appear to be glazing over. The alpha behind her is talking to another cute chick, with lots of demonstrations of breaking through barriers and yelling at police, very animated and it's all about him and his struggles. As dreadlocked beta'd chick is looking around the room for something interesting, alpha protester is getting a spontanious deep hug from his dreadlocked cutie. 
 
Then another really aggresive guy comes in late, oblivious to all the peace training and just basically ignores everything while he talks. The guy is talking about taking the violence up to another level, the "Eurocentric myths of American democracy", and really destroying the system. He was really at the far end of the spectrum.

The Wall Street Journal gave it a favorable review yesterday, presenting the most controversial part, i.e. recent human variation, without throwing a hissy fit.

After reading Prof. Blattman's blog, I've determined he's one of the SWPL Whiterest people in America. He gets extra points for being Canadian as well. At one point he gushes on about a black Imam in Liberia thanking him for electing Obama.  
How many billions more do we have to spend to keep guys like this "consulting" for the world bank? And how much more damage will we let them inflict on Africa for their own SWPL class aspirations? 
God, his class will be stultifyingly boring.

As long as we're talking 'bout Finns in the sex industry, does anybody but me ever think how weird it was that serial killer Aileen Wuormos was a Finnish-American? Really her whole family on the Finn side looked really odd. In all the years of Finn bashing how come GNXP never talks about this?

what sort of standing do a law student and a history grad student have to be arguing these points in a national publication?  
 
TNR just recently changed hands and has a new owner -- The Asper family, owner of CanWest. I think maybe they just wanted to clear their name from any associations with Andrew Sullivan having published large sections of "The Bell Curve". There's absolutely nothin' new in what these guys are talking about.
