Michael Crichton theorized before his death that a person's genetics were much more of a 'gene cloud' in which many genes were involved in situation-specific outcomes, and it was being found out that there was not many instances of "bad-gene-number-5-a" caused condition X, but a number of genes contributed to condition X. Findings like this one lead me to believe that he was quite right and that our genetics were much more complicated (and he termed it more interesting) than we might have thought previously.

Just wow......great information in those maps. Thanks for this. My area of the country has a great deal of "diabesity". One sees quite a few women with pretty faces that are 30 lbs or more overweight. Its a sad thing, but there is a lot of it down here. A picture (or statistical map) really is worth many words. Those put the whole issue in a clear perspective.

The great western open conspiracy to create a global youth culture that culturally "steals" the youth of the rest of the planet is obviously working just as intended. They will introduce "women's rights" next, and the birthrates of these places will fall like South Korea's has (1.2 per female) leading to too many old people, and too few young people to support them.  
 
"Bling" is being proud of being openly nacissistic and will end up like it has here, a status contest in which males brag about how many "ho's" they have banged and how much "bling" they have and how "badass" they are. Boy, what three pillars of masculine achievment for a societies' youth to build the future of a nation upon: I get laid the most, I have the most showy possesions (that were manufactured somewhere else), and Im violent and react with overwhelming force at the first sign that anyone is even contemplating dissagreeing with me. Hip Hop and rap are disasters, the last thing we should export. This isn't good news for Mongolia at all. Its the opening refrain of their dissapearance as a culture over the 21st century and the ascendence of them becoming a aged-welfare state with no family structure.

Acne, psoriasis, eczema, shingles, baldness, alopecia totallis (total loss of all hair on the body), alopecia areata, loss of eyebrows, vitiglio (loss of skin pigment--particularily devastating to black people), are all dermatolgocial conditions that we can hope that someday will be eradicated by scientific research. 
 
I went to school with a kid who was going male pattern bald at 15 and was pretty much bald headed by the time we graduated. I also went to school with a few kids who had very bad scarring acne. These seeming trifling dermatological conditions were probably very devastating to them because it happened to them at such young ages. For old farts like me, slowly receeding, greying temples are no big thing---but to a young person under 22 or so, they would be devastating.
