This might be a reason why countries with relatively independent judiciaries have an edge in the long-term over China's hollow crypto-fascism (India or Brazil). China is now a culture where the exercise of raw power is all that counts-its ancient traditions were bull-dozed by Communism-and socialism has no appeal to the masses.
