The definition of an idiotarian
Others have started to pile on to the idiocy that is Philip Shropshire. I think I should tell them not to waste their time. For a while I engaged in a horribly one-sided debate with this fellow. Then I read what he had to say for himself from his website and I just saw
red. He said:
"You might say, well what about the 6000? I want blood you're probably screaming. Well, why don't we forgive. Actually, considering the millions that have died in East Timor, Vietnam and Latin American I'll take 6000 karmically. It would also be a great lesson for Isreal and one that they need. When you answer the policy request in my next point, keep in mind would you like to be as safe as the average Isreali? Does eye for an eye work? Let's call off the war and determine these to be criminal acts...."
For a second I was at a loss for words, and then I realized that further "discussion" with Shropshire was worthless. It's better to just
pay to send him to Iraq. After all, if he
really believes that war with Iraq is such a travesty, then by his "chickenhawk" logic he should be prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice to stop it. This isn't really a joke - there are
groups doing this. If 100000 Americans felt strongly enough about it to move to Iraq to be human shields, you can bet our bombers might think twice. (Somehow I think that unlikely).
So, Philip. [1] Do you
really care about the Iraqi children, ostensibly the victims of US sanctions rather than Saddam Hussein? Do you
really want to prevent war? Well, then I suggest you get your ass to Iraq. We'll pay the
plane fare, and you can die for Saddam Hussein...
karmically .
[1] And all you
idiotarians who lobbed around the
discredited chickenhawk epithet.

Read the comments section for this post. Philip, by his own admission, is a
wannabe terrorist . To quote him:
"I'll take 6000 karmically. It would also be a great lesson for Isreal and one that they need."
"I do not think that the terrorists are crazy bad insane people. "
"But if you give me a secular group that attacked property only and targeted multinationals that were working to privatize water in the Third World then, hey, you might see a Shropshire Cell in the Pittsburgh area"
His
only quibble with Al Qaeda is that they were not secular Maoist rebels targeting private property and multinational corporations. I don't think he's worthy of engaging in further discussion with.
