not about IP, but about logic Newsweek has an OK article on Internet Radio which contains the following very curious line:
The rationale for a performance fee seems reasonable: why shouldn’t artists get some coin when Webcasters play their music?
Since "a performance fee" means "artists getting some coin," the proposed "reasonable" rationale is "Why not?" This "reasoning" is easily extendable to just about any circumstance:
The rationale for cannibalism seems reasonable: why shouldn't we fry up our neighbors and eat them?
